Lisa Doron is a rooted visionary, a woman who has chosen the western edge of Northern California as the home of her work, her family, and her dreams for over 40 years. She is an artist, actor, fashionista and facilitator of connection and magic, uplifting humanity by gathering people and inviting them to create, commit and PLAY with what matters to them. As a drama teacher for 17 years, she supported young people to develop their creative confidence and connection to the bigger stories of their lives. As a mentor in the 8 Shields/nature connection community, in particular Weaving Earth, Lisa teaches storytelling as an essential human skill and a healing modality guided by the question: how does who I am and what I do connect me to land, self and others, in that order? Several years ago she created and continues the Wedding Dress Project, a year-long excursion with women using fairy tales and handwork as a way of looking into what we talk about when we talk about love and taking vows. In 2009 she partnered with storyteller/mythologist Martin Shaw, to create the California version of Dr. Shaw's UK School of Myth and Story. The integration of head, heart and hands is at the center of what moves her through her work and it is always a lovely muddle.
