Corinna Gould: Keynote, Our Common Home Summit

In this video, Corinna Gould, spokesperson for the Confederated Villages of Lisjan, describes how Ohlone land was stolen numerous times and her people nearly erased (32 min). Corrina says, “If you live in the Bay Area and are not Ohlone, you are a guest in this territory.” She talks about what it means to be a guest and how to heal the legacy of colonization and genocide. Corrina is co-founder of Sogorea Te' Land Trust, an indigenous women-led land trust which is reclaiming Ohlone land in the East Bay, including a major action to protect the West Berkeley Shellmound. She will be in conversation with filmmaker Toby McLeod following the screening of Standing on Sacred Ground: Fire & Ice in Point Reyes Station on September 8th.
