This Sacred Land: Images & Words from Point Reyes pairs Todd Pickering's masterful black-and-white photography of land and nature with words by local community members. Todd has been walking the curves and edges of the Point Reyes landscape his whole life, coming to know the seasons, to sense the nuances of the land and all her denizens: to belong to this place. Evocative photographs mingle with words written by community members: a farmer; a doctor; a surfer; a singer; two students; and diverse others. They tell of how and where they have come to know the sacred in the land of Point Reyes—the place they call home. This exhibit is collaboration, intended as an invitation, and an open question....Where and how do you experience the sacred in the land of Point Reyes?
